Butterflies conjure up images of sunshine, the warmth and color of flowery meadows, and summer gardens teaming with life. Butterflies and moths have been a part of our natural heritage for over 300 years.

 They are an extremely important group of organisms used, to investigate many areas of biological research, including such diverse fields as navigation, pest control, embryology, evolution, genetics and biodiversity conservation.

These beautiful, elegant, stunning and delightful creatures are the most important part of nature. These are indicators of a healthy environment and healthy ecosystems. They are highly diverse group comprising of over 200,000 species. 

They are an important element of the food chain and are prey for birds. They have two antenna which help them to connect with their surroundings, their wings are large and colorful, with diverse designs, and their vision is also way better than other invertebrates.

Butterflies hold way more values than we can think of, for example: they are an integral part of education and science community, they also have aesthetic value, health value and economic value.

Things required:-


1. Pencil

2. A4 size sheet

3 Black marker

4. Colored pens

HOW TO MAKE THIS MANDALA ART


1. First, take a pencil and start drawing an outline of a butterfly. Now inside the head and the body of the butterfly start scribbling out designs.

2. Now move to the Upper wings of the butterfly, in the wings start drawing curved lines such that the wing has divisions inside it. Now, inside each division draw designs such as loops, triangles, hearts and zig zag lines.

3. Once you are done completing both upper wings, move on to lower wings. Make divisions in the lower wings as well, now fill these divisions with various designs such as tomb shaped petals, tilted lines, long petals, triangles and loops. Draw these designs on the other lower wing too.

4. Once you are done drawing the designs with a pencil, use a black marker to darken the outlines of these designs. Make sure the outlines are neat and sharp.

5. Now use different colors to fill these designs. Make sure you color within the lines of the designs so that it looks orderly and skillful.
